Michael and Lauren's engagement session was SUCH a joy to photograph. They were so natural, so organic, and so genuine with one another. They were laughing and smiling and holding one another tenderly the entire time we frolicked around in the morning sunlight. Lauren's style kills it. When they showed up Lauren was wearing this adorable sweatshirt with sushi cats on it -- like how can it get better...sushi...cats...I could never rock it. Then she changed into this uber cute fit n' flare dress with the best stripey socks. In addition to other hidden talents I found out she also makes socks?!
While Michael twirled around in the breeze, she laughed and both of their faces lit up with joy. At the end, Michael set her down on the ground as if he was holding something so utterly valuable and precious to him that he had to take utmost care. I felt honored to watch their interactions together because they were just so sincerely in love with their best friend. We ended the morning by chilling on rocking chairs like old people, twirling to our hearts content on lakeside docks, and then a playground was sighted -- resulting in firemans pole sliding and plenty of swinging while holding onto skirts for dear life. What a blast.
